This week's game, Broncos and the Chargers were, Joey Bosa broke his middle finger but he is still playing.

The score was 13-21.

The Broncos almost won but the Chargers had a good game with their defense.

Why Music is Awesome

Music is the best thing ever! There are different kinds of music, like Pop, Country, Rock, Dance and more! I think music helps you concentrate with things you need to focus on.  I listen to it while I am doing my homework.    I like to listen to my favorite artists. Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez. Their songs have meanings that we can all relate to in life. Another thing I like about music is that you can sing to it. If you know the lyrics and are a good singer then you would be good at it.  Also, music can relax you. I sometimes listen to music before I go to bed.  Music makes me happy and I love it.

The Chicago Teams

I like the Chicago Cubs because it’s my  home team. The Chicago Cubs are really good and better than the Chicago Sox. They have speed, batting, running, pitching and catching. I also like them because they beat the White Sox 8-1 on July 27th 2016.

I like the BlackHawks. They are really good at blocking shots. They’re best at shooting and speed skating. I also like them because they won two Stanley Cups.

I like The Chicago Bulls. They have really good players. They have the best player Dwyane Wade on the team. Dwyane Wade is really great at shooting and dribbling. I also like The Chicago Bulls because they have awesome defense and offense.

I like The Chicago Bears. They are fast, tough tacklers and great throwers. I also like them because they beat teams that are better than them.

My Cool Diecast Model Collection

I have 60 diecast model cars and about 350 hot wheels. Diecast model cars are cars that are made out of metal and are built by people. Also, tons of them are sold by Motormax, Ebay, Diecast  Wholescale.com, Amazon, Amazon Prime, Hot wheels, Big time scale, Greenlight, Maisto, and many more. When I get older I’ll have a lot more.

Summer by Sydney

Summer is my favorite season. It always has been. I like summer because you can swim, there’s no school, and my birthday is in the summer! You can also go on vacation. The only one reason I do not like summer is because sometimes it can hit 100 degrees! Then it is steaming hot outside.  The air conditioning  cannot go so high.  But everything else is nice. I love going outside. I also like going to the pool with my friends. I  like ice cream on a hot day. My favorite flavor is  mint chocolate chip. Summer is awesome!

Being Someone Else

My class did a unit call Identity Crisis. As part of the unit my teacher told us to write a paragraph about who you wanted to be. This is what I wrote....

I would like to be my mom for several reasons. First of all I would like to be my mom because I would get to be an adult. I wouldn’t have to go to school. I would get to watch movies and TV when I want. I would get to have a job. I could earn cash and spend it on Lego kits like Star Wars. I would get to the movies whenever I want to. I would go see the new Avengers movie and I would get the largest popcorn and a slushy. I would like to be someone but only for one hour.

My Car Project...UPDATE

My car project update… 

If you remember from last time, my grandpa bought me a 1971 El Camino for getting good grades. No it is time for my car to get sand blasted. After that all the old paint had to come off before it could get repainted. Then, when it’s done it got towed to the lake house. Next, we put on the front bumper, headlights, the grill and the turn signals. On the back we have to put on the bumper, and brake light covers. We also have to put on the the trim for the bed.

RC Cars

Traxxas RC cars are my favorite brand of RC car.They are my because they are many kinds.Some of my favorites are the E-Revo, E-Maxx, Slash 4x4,Summit. Traxxas RC can go very very fast. Some can go as fast as real cars. Traxxas RC cars can do lots of things.  They like jump ramps and curbs. Traxxas RC can cost a lot of money. they cost between 100-800 dollars. On weekends I race people at tracks against other RC cars for fun.

Chicago Bulls Playoffs 2015

The Bulls have been doing really good this year and they are in the playoffs.  In the 1st round playoff they played Milwaukee Bucks.  They won five games and lost two games.  So now they are in the 2nd round against the Cavaliers.  They have won the first game against Cavaliers and they lost to the Cavaliers in the 2nd game.  The series is tied 1-1. The schedule of the games against Cleveland Cavaliers are on May 8, May 12, May 14, and hopefully if they tie up the series, they play the 7th game on May 17.   

Avengers Age of Ultron Movie

Avengers Age of Ultron is the sequel the Avengers movie that made $1,000,000,000 at the box office. Avengers Age of Ultron is going came theaters May 1st but many movies now premiere a day before they actually come in theaters.  Avengers Age of Ultron is currently in 2nd place as the most anticipated movies of 2015 (to see this 2nd place movie fast forward to 9 minutes).

Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens

DID YOU KNOW THAT THEY RELEASED TWO TEASERS FOR STAR WARS VII THE FORCE AWAKENS?! The film is coming December 18, 2015. The film franchise bought by Disney. After this film they will release two more sequels. There will be a lot of changes and the same like the Empire will return the stormtroopers will look different the original cast is staying and there will be a new lightsaber called the cross guard lightsaber. I am excited to see this movie.

My Homemade Fire Alarm System

Three years ago I started building my homemade fire alarm system.  It started when I got my first pull station.  It was a Fire Lite BG-12.  A month later my uncle bought me a Radio Shack Pizo Buzzer and a 6-Volt battery.  The following year I was able to retrieve four working fire alarms from local building.  I made one into Porta Strobe with a button on the side and three 9 volt batteries hooked up to make it blink.   i got some back boxes and conduit the mount the system on a  wall in my basement.  This year I got a control panel cabinet and we took it off one wall and put it on a bigger wall.  Now I have homemade working fire alarm system made by me!

MY CAR PROJECT

In December of 2014 my grandpa got me a 1971 El Camino as a gift for having good grades. We have been working on the car on and off the whole winter. It went to the interior shop to get the interior done. It took the guy two months to do seats, headliner,carpet,and the dashboard to do.   Now it's about to go an get painted. We also have to put in the distributor. I can't wait to see it when it is finished.

WELCOME 6TH GRADERS

I just want to say what an awesome year we have had here at South Middle School. Sixth graders are gonna love it here at South Middle School. There are so many different after school activities that you upcoming 6th graders can do. We have Chess club, Minecraft club and Lego club and Running club and a whole lot more. At South there are a lot of times where you can get help on your homework, like after school or Resource class.  Here at South there are a lot of teachers. I can say a lot of nice things about them. So in conclusion, I hope that you guys as 6th graders enjoy your years at SOUTH MIDDLE SCHOOL.

Growing Up Duggar

This year for my birthday I got a book. The  book is called Growing Up Duggar.   My brother gave me the book. I love the show 19 Kids and Counting on TLC. The show is funny and educational because they are religious people. All of the kids are homeschooled. The oldest girls Jana,  Jill, Jessa  and Jinger wrote the Growing Up Duggar Book. Even though I read a few pages, I think the book is pretty good.

Lorado Taft

I went to Taft month ago. We stayed a Taft for 2 days. Over 150 kids in my school went. We did lots of fun activities with our group. My favorite thing I did at Taft was the night hike. We stop in a field and played games in the dark. Taft was so much fun! When you have the time you should go!!!.

This year I went to Taft with my friends and with my teachers! I got to make a frame at arts class.  It was a wooden frame that I decorated with ribbons and rocks.  I got to make a candle at pioneering class. We got use water and candle wax to dip the candle.  I got to sleep in a bunk bed with my friends.  I got the bottom bunk.  I loved Taft a lot!  I had a really good time at Taft with my friends and with my teachers.

New Ride #SwagNinja

When my dad told me he sold his old motorcycle I started crying (in a happy way). We had worked on that motorcycle for so long. I remembered the first time he rode it and the first time he started it. I remembered the times it broke down while we were riding it. I was sad because I would miss it but I was so happy that he getting new motorcycle.

My dad was really excited to ride his new motorcycle. Now he has a motorcycle that works. 

                             

This motorcycle you see in the picture’s is my dad’s new 08 Harley Davidson Street Bob. I like riding on it with him. I like when he goes fast (you should always obey the speed limit). I can’t wait to ride to Wisconsin with my dad.

       

Why You Should Not Eat Ice Cream

I like ice cream. Ice cream is not good for you because it has lots of calories.  That’s why you should not have ice cream every day. You should have it every once in a while.  My favorite flavors are strawberry and coffee ice cream. #sportsninja

South vs Thomas Showdown Basketball Game !!!

VS

Every year South Staff vs Thomas Staff play each other in a charity basketball game.  

Mrs. Baughcum , Mr. Chung, and Mrs. McMains played in the basketball game. All  the students 

from South and Thomas came to the game. The basketball game started at 7:00 pm. They played at Hersey High School.The kids cheered for their school. We had a raffle during  the basketball Thomas won the showdown the game.

Airplanes are really cool. They can take you any where you book a flight. They serve you food and drinks like pop and water. They also serve orange juice, which is very good. You usually can pick only one drink per flight. They might ask, “Do you want more?” and that’s ok if you say yes because they asked you if you wanted more. It’s very fun some times on the airplane because, it you didn’t know this, you get to fly in the air and watch movies. They put a movie on on a tv up on the wall that are loosely hanging down. My Guinea pig Named Unknown By #Ninjago

My mom and dad bought her at Feed and Needs. When they brought her home ,my little brother, my two sister's and I were surprised that we got a baby guinea pig. I'm not  sure what kind of guinea pig she is. My family is still thinking of a name for her. We have some possible names for her. She squeaks lots. She likes apple, fresh romaine, broccoli, and carrots. When one of the family members holds her, we always have a towel under her seat. My dog Dacho likes to lick her, but my family is not sure why Dacho does that.

You should use computers: Computers are very helpful. There is not just one thing you can do,  you can do a lot of things on computers. You can look up stuff on the internet. My dog Buddy is so awesome. Buddy is so playful. He loves to play fetch, but likes to run away when I try to grab the tennis ball.  Buddy thinks were playing keep away.

 He loves to attack me in the snow. Buddy is so funny when he stinks his head out the window. He also loves to swim at our lake house. #SwagNinja is Buddy’s best friend.
